E- Governance

Definition of e – Governance:

Electronic governance or e-governance implies government functioning with the application of ICT (Information and Communications Technology). Hence e-Governance is basically a move towards SMART governance implying: simple, moral, accountable, responsive and transparent governance.

Scope of e-governance

It entails the access and delivery of government services, dissemination of information, communication in a quick and efficient manner. Scope of e-Governance. Governance is all about flow of information between the Government and Citizens, Government and Businesses and Government and Government. OR E governance or Electronic governance is the utilisation of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) for exchange of information, communication, delivering government services, transactions, integration of systems like government-to-citizen (G2C), government-to-government (G2G), government-to-business (G2B) and ), government-to-employee (G2E).
